Clean and check the camshaft timing drive components before moving to install. Register the timing (pressing marks) of camshaft intermediate and sprocket of crankshaft, and install the timing chain on drive sprockets. Install the timing chain; crankshaft sprocket; and camshaft intermediate sprocket as an assembly. Rotate the crankshaft by using the crankshaft socket (J 39946) until the key way is at the 1 o'clock position. Tighten the camshaft intermediate sprocket bolt slightly to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.), after which, fit the timing chain guide and allow the bolts to tighten to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Mount the timing chain tensioner followed by the oil outlet tube and bolts that need to be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs).
