The first step requires users to detach the negative Battery Cable along with draining pressure from the fuel system. Place the vehicle on a lift and remove both the wheel and tire from the rear side. The service technician should clean all fuel connections together with surrounding areas to avoid contamination followed by draining Fuel Tanks and removing the Fuel Tank shield. Place a marker on each fuel pipe before you unfasten the quick-connect fittings from the Fuel Level Sensor and put protective caps over all fuel pipes and disconnect the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector. First support the Fuel Tank before removing the strap and using a 5/16 inch open end wrench to remove the Fuel Level Sensor attaching bolts which need discarding.
