To start replacing the power vacuum Brake Booster you need to disconnect the vacuum Brake Booster sensor connections then set them to the side. First remove the master cylinders and then unfasten the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) unit in combination with its retaining bracket. Next you must take the brake pedal position sensor out. Unscrew the Pushrod retainer nut of the vacuum Brake Booster and detach the Pushrod at its brake pedal end. Pull the vacuum booster forward with four installed nuts while ensuring the mounting studs exit the dash panel to remove the foam insulator. Check the gasket for damage when you take out the vacuum Brake Booster and replace it if defective.
