Place and lock the ecm onto the underhood junction block bracket through the retaining tab while connecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector and body wiring harness electrical connector to the ecm then put back the ecm/tcm cover. The final procedure involves reconnecting the negative Battery Cable while performing an ecm program to ensure proper recording of engine oil life because failure to do so could default to 100 percent which would result in a required oil change after only 5000 km (3,000 mi) since the previous change.
