How to replace the front door striker on Chevrolet Impala?

The process of substituting the front door striker anchor plate requires removal of door lock pillar trim first along with upper and lower panels from the center pillar (Front Striker) and the quarter lower panel (Rear Striker). Draw the striker location with a grease marker before you remove all front door lock striker screws and finally remove the striker and shims and anchor plate. Start the installation by placing the anchor plate followed by door lock shims and striker then complete with striker screws. When positioning the door lock striker at its marked spot tighten the door lock striker screws to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Give attention to adjusting the door lock striker when required. Finalize installation by reattaching all front and rear trims with the center pillar upper (Front Striker) piece and both center pillars lower (Front Striker) elements and quarter lower (Rear Striker).
