How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the 4L60-E/4L65-E transmission on GMC Yukon?

Raise and support your car first, before you start replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the 4L60-E/4L65-E transmission. Take off the VSS bolt and the VSS once you have disconnected the VSS electrical connector . Pull out the O-ring seal first, then put the new O-ring seal onto the VSS and brush some transmission fluid over it. Now, attach the VSS, align it, and fasten it using the VSS bolt, making sure you tighten to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.). After you reconnect the electrical connector, lower the vehicle and top off the fluid if it's needed.
