To service and repair front lower Control Arm start by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Take off the tire and wheel off, if equipped disconnect the real time damping (RTD) link rod from the sensor. Subsequently, uninstall the front coil spring. Go ahead and take off lower Control Arm nuts and washers (15 Series), and then lower Control Arm bolts (15 Series). Then remove the nuts and washers (25 Series) on the lower Control Arm, in case of car series 25 and the lower Control Arm bolts, please. After that, you have to take off the lower ball joint stud nut and separate the lower ball joint stud from the
Steering Knuckle with the help of the ball joint separator (J43631). Install the new lower Control Arm after detaching the lower Control Arm and then attach the ball joint stud to the knuckle steering after doing the safety check to tighten the lower ball joint stud nut to 137 nm (101ft. Lbs.). Replace the front coil spring, and the lower Control Arm bolts (15 Series) and lower Control Arm nuts and washers (15 Series) and tighten tighten the nuts to 145 nm (107 ft. Lbs.). Next, install the lower Control Arm bolts (25 Series), and lower Control Arm nuts and washers (25 Series), by tightening the nuts to 145 nm (107 ft. Lbs.). Lastly replace the front stabilizer shaft link, the
Shock Absorber, the tire and wheel, remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle and check the wheel alignment.
