    Q:
How to replace the left engine mount on Chevrolet Blazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before beginning the left Engine Mount replacement process start by raising the car and eliminating underbody shields when they appear. You must first take off the through-bolt and its nut from the Engine Mount of the side being replaced before using a jack on the square tab (left side shown) at the engine block rear for engine lift while removing the Starter if you need to access the right side tab. After raising the engine to its clearance height for removing the mount proceed with unthreading the bracket bolts from their frame brackets to complete bracket removal. Moove the Engine Mount through-bolt and nut from the mount as you take away the Engine Mount and its protective shield. Install the Engine Mount and shield as a unit after sub-assembly using one bolt before installing them onto the engine. Begin by mounting the engine to its location with 54 nm (40 ft. Lbs.), then proceed with mounting the frame bracket to the frame while tightening its bolts to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Physical workers should lower the engine with bolts at 74 nm (55 ft. Lbs.), then tighten the through-bolts at 74 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) and the nuts at 63 nm (46 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the Starter only if it needed removal before lowering down the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the left engine mount on GMC Jimmy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the left Engine Mount starts with raising the vehicle and removing underbody shields if installed. The technicians should remove both the through-bolt and the nut which secure the Engine Mount on the side of replacement. A jack should be positioned on the square tab at the engine block's rear side to elevate the engine block so the mount can be removed. Acceleration of the Starter enables access to the square tab positioned on the right-hand side of the mount. Begin by removing the bolts holding the Engine Mount frame bracket and bracket and finally the bolts attaching the Engine Mount to the engine. You should remove both the Engine Mount and its attached shield from the system. The installation requires assembling the Engine Mount with the shield and one bolt before safely attaching them to the engine. Tighten bolts on the Engine Mount to the engine blocks at 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.). Next, install the Engine Mount frame bracket and fix its bolts at 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Lower the engine subsequently use the jack to remove it while you install the through-bolts of the Engine Mount and tighten them to 74 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) before installing the nuts and securing them at 63 nm (46 ft. Lbs.). In case the Starter was removed, reinstallation is required before lowering the vehicle to the ground.
