    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Cadillac Escalade EXT? Posted by Customer
    A:
In the process of replacing the air compressor, first lift and support the vehicle. Clean the parts and environment not to let dirt into the air when disconnecting Air Hose from air compressor. Unplug the air tube from the air dryer and electrical. Take off the air inlet and hose from the filler neck bracket, then loosen the mounting nuts. Slide the compressor rearwards to unclog the frame slots and take off the compressor from the vehicle. Installation: slide the air compressor/s back into the vehicle dentures, slide the fasteners forward into frame slots and fasten to the mounting nuts 15 nm (11 ft.lbs.). Re-install the air inlet hose back on the fuel filler neck bracket, connect the air tube to the air dryer and reconnect the electrical connection. Turn the ignition key prior to driving and wait for about 45 seconds to allow the air adjustable shock absorbers to fill with residual pressure after which lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of the air compressor requires suspension and lift of the vehicle. You should disconnect the air tube from the air dryer after cleaning all components and the surrounding area to block dirt from entering the air system. Then remove the Air Hose from the air compressor. Begin by disconnecting power and removing both the flow inlet and hose from around the fuel filler neck bracket. Loosen the mounting nuts before moving the air compressor rearward so it clears frame slots for removal of the tool from the vehicle. To install the air compressor place it back inside the vehicle then push it forward while the fasteners insert into frame slots before securing the mounting nuts at 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Connect the air inlet hose to the fuel filler neck bracket then join the air tube to the air dryer. Reconnect the electrical connection. Before taking the wheel turn the ignition into the on position and let the air adjustable shock absorbers receive residual pressure during a 45-second waiting period.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
A vehicle must be raised for servicing while cleaning components and surrounding area to stop dust from getting inside the air system before removing the Air Hose and air compressor. Cut the electrical connection and air tube from both the air dryer and electrical components. Start by removing the fuel filler neck bracket's air inlet and hose before loosening its mounting nuts. Advance the air compressor back then slide it through the frame slots to extract it from the vehicle. After placing the air compressor in position inside the vehicle, install the frame fasteners through the slots and secure them by tightening the mounting nuts to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Simultaneously install the air inlet hose on the fuel filler neck bracket while also connecting the air tube to the air dryer and re-establishing electrical connection. The driver should start the ignition then maintain 45 seconds of wait time for air adjustable shock absorbers to receive residual pressure before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to service and repair the Air Suspension Compressor on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The air compressor/pump service and repair operation starts with vehicle lifting and support ensuring all components remain free from dirt while cleaning the area before disconnecting the Air Hose from the compressor. Disconnect the air tube from both the air dryer and electrical connection followed by air inlet and hose removal from the frame. First remove the frame slots of the air compressor by unscrewing the mounting nuts and pushing the compressor panel back. Position the air compressor in place then move it forward to fasten the frame slots with mounting nuts tightened to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Position the air inlet with hose to the frame's opening while you join the air tube to the air dryer and the electrical wiring. When you turn on the ignition your vehicle needs 45 seconds of standby time for air adjustable Shock Absorber residual pressure fill-up before you can lower it.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
The air compressor replacement process begins by lifting the vehicle into position while using support equipment. You should turn the ignition on while the engine remains off and implement a scan tool to purge system air pressures for no less than one minute. Before disconnecting the Air Hose from the air compressor please clean all parts while keeping an eye on minimal air pressure remaining in the tubes. Detach the air tube from both the air dryer and electrical connection followed by removing the air inlet and hose from the fuel filler neck bracket. Begin by loosening the mounting nuts then pull the air compressor backwards until it clears the frame slots before complete removal from the vehicle. Place the air compressor inside the vehicle when installing it by using the correct fasteners which must maintain the proper part number alignment. Every fastener requires paint, lubricant or corrosion inhibitor exclusion unless specified because they reduce torque performance along with clamping force. After moving the air compressor forward tighten the mounting nuts to reach 15 nm (11 lb ft) torque to insert the fasteners into the frame slots. Reinstall the air inlet hose to the fuel filler neck bracket followed by connecting the air tube to the air dryer while reconnecting the electrical connection. To activate the air compressor first lower the vehicle and start the ignition while leaving the engine off. Connect a scan tool and run the air compressor for 30 seconds until the rear elevation begins to rise. Cycle the ignition while enabling the engine to function between the off and on positions to permit the air suspension system to reach its desired rear suspension setting.

    Q:
How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor Assembly on GMC Yukon XL 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
A vehicle needs to be raised and supported during automatic level control air compressor assembly replacement along with cleaning surrounding areas to protect the air system from dirt before separate installation of the air compressor and Air Hose. Disconnect the electrical connection then remove the air tube from the air dryer system. Begin by removing the air inlet and hose from the fuel filler neck bracket and then loosen all mounting nuts. Pull the air compressor toward the trailer to pass the frames slots before removing it from under the vehicle. Place the air compressor inside the vehicle and move it toward the front until all fasteners lock into frame slots before applying 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) of torque to the mounting nuts. Reattach the air inlet hose to the fuel filler neck bracket and fasten the air tube to the air dryer after reconnecting the electrical connection. When you start the engine allow 45 seconds of wait time to fill the air adjustable shock absorbers with residual pressure before lowering the vehicle.
