    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
When replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor and intake Air Temperature Sensor maintain careful handling of the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor to protect its honeycell at the air inlet end and refraining from contacting the sensing elements and exposing them to cleaning solvents or lubricants. A little non-silicone lubricant should be applied to the air duct for easier installation. The first step involves disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor then proceeding to loosen the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp before removing the sensor from the air cleaner assembly. The installation of a new Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor needs complete alignment of the embossed arrow marking to direct airflow toward the engine. Insert the sensor into the air cleaner assembly while fastening the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in) torque and then reattach the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor.

    Q:
How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on Cadillac Escalade ESV? Posted by Customer
    A:
While changing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor it is important to maintain careful handling to prevent damage to the honeycell at the air inlet side as well as to avoid contact between sensing elements and cleaning agents or lubricants. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor of the engine wiring harness first before removing the air cleaner outlet resonator. You should remove the air cleaner sensor after loosening the clamp that secures the adapter on the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. Before installing the sensor insert it into the air cleaner assembly so that the embossed arrow points toward the engine. Reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor while tightening the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor adapter clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in) torque setting. Afterwards, restore the outlet resonator to its place.
