How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on GMC Canyon?

Engineers need to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector before they remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor from the maf/iat sensor. Release the screws attached to the maf/iat sensor then remove it from around the air cleaner assembly. Technically handle the maf sensor because dropping it will produce damage and avoid touching the sensing elements or harming the screen on the air inlet end. The sensing elements require protection from all solvents and lubricants and installation requires a small amount of soap-based solution. Reinstall the maf/iat sensor into the air cleaner assembly while securing it with the maf/iat sensor screws tightened to 1.5 nm (13 lb in). The engine wiring harness electrical connector should be reconnected to the maf/iat sensor after installation.

How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the Intake Air Temperature Sensor on GMC Envoy?

Handle the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor with care to protect its honeycell at the air inlet while also preventing any contamination of sensing elements due to cleaning solvents or lubricating products. A tiny portion of non-silicone base lubricant should be applied to the air duct to help with assembly. The first step involves disconnecting the engine harness electrical connector from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor after which you should remove the screws that hold the sensor before extracting the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. Before fastening new Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor place it properly in position and tighten installation screws to 0.6 nm (5 lb in) torque while at the same time reattaching the engine harness electrical connector to the sensor.

How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on GMC Sierra 1500?

When installing or replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor handle it carefully to prevent damaging the honeycell and to protect the sensing elements from both touch exposure and cleaning solvent or lubricating contamination. Start by taking off the air cleaner outlet resonator before disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector attached to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor. The Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor must be removed from the air cleaner assembly after loosening its seal clamp. The Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor installation should begin by orienting the embossed arrow facing the engine so the air flow stays proper. Secure the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor into the air cleaner assembly by tightening its seal clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in). To finish the procedure position the engine wiring harness electrical connector on the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor followed by replacement of the air cleaner outlet resonator.
