To change the Throttle Body assembly, treat the electronic throttle control components gently so as not to cause damage, avoid exposing them into cleaning solvents or rough handling. Start with the removal of the air cleaner outlet duct. Unplug the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the electronic throttle control first before you remove the Throttle Body nuts (507) and bolts (538) and remove the throttle assembly body (508). Remove the old and useless Throttle Body Gasket (509), and insert a new one, using the tab on the gasket and the notch on the manifold of the intake. Install the Throttle Body (508) including the bolts (538) and nuts (507) and tighten it up to 10 nm (89 lb in). Ensure the tie-down straps that secure the air cleaners to the engine air cleaners are correctly installed with the nut and bolt in place , but do not tighten it down . Remove the factory-installed air cleaner outlet duct. Test throttle-opening and throttle-closing range with the use of a scan tool and ensure that the accelerator pedal is able to move freely from a closed throttle to the wide open throttle (WOT). Make sure to not activate the reduced engine power mode, and ignition should be on while the engine is off in order to run the throttle learn procedure. Finally, check for any coolant leaks.
