    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 2 on GMC Yukon XL 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S), Bank 2 Sensor 2, lift and support the vehicle first. Remove the HO2S connector clip from the frame and disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector for vehicles with a 4.8L and 5.3L engine; Do the same for those with a 6.0L engine. Remove the HO2S. When reinstalling the old sensor apply anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953 (or equivalent) to the threads. The special anti-seize compound contained in a liquid graphite and glass beads is used on the HO2S threads to aid in the easier removal. Mount the HO2S and tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb ft). Attach the HO2S electric connection for the 6.0L engine then the one for 4.8L or 5.3L engine. You may reinstall the HO2S connector clip to the frame and then disconnect the CPA retainer, and lower the vehicle.
