Turn Signal Switch

As a first step to replace the fog lamp and instrument panel (IP) lamp Dimmer Switch assembly (RHD) one must begin by removing the right ip end cap. The fog lamp and ip Dimmer Switch assembly electrical connector needs to be disconnected by pressing on its backside before removal from the ip. Follow these installation steps: first join the electrical connector then ensure proper alignment of the fog lamp and ip Dimmer Switch assembly with the ip opening. Once positioned correctly, push the assembly until it reaches the ip surface and finish by installing the left ip end cap.

Before taking out the multifunction Turn Signal Switch (LHD), you should deactivate the sir system and take off the steering column trim covers. Then, take off the steering column wire harness tie straps and remove the electrical connectors from the steering column control module, making sure you remember the wiring harness path for reassembling. Remove the lower steering column wire harness shield and take out the wire harness from the steering column. Unplug the three electrical connectors (1,2,3) from the multifunction switch, and then take out the retaining screws before you remove the switch. For the installation, set the switch's electrical contact in place on the turn signal cancel cam assembly, then install the multifunction switch and attach it with the retaining screws tightened to a final torque of 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Connect the multifunction switch wirings (1,2,3), return the wire harness to the wire harness shield, plug in the control module connectors, and put the tie straps on the steering column wire harness. Afterward, put the steering column trim covers in place and turn on the sir system.

The first step to replace a left-hand-drive headlamp switch involves taking out the end cap from the left IP component. You should engage the rear part of the headlamp fog lamp switch assembly to detach it while disconnecting the electrical connectors. You must attach each electrical connection from the new switch after taking the switch out from the headlamp. The headlamp fog switch assembly needs to be placed into the IP opening until it becomes level with the IP surface. It is necessary to replace the left IP end cap during the installation process.

The first step to replace a left-hand drive headlamp switch involves removing the left IP end cap. You should push on the back of the headlamp fog lamp switch assembly to free it from the removal position while disconnecting its electrical connectors. Proceed to connect the electrical wires associated with the new switch after taking out the headlamp switch. The headlamp fog lamp switch assembly should match the IP hole before being pushed into place for a flush mount. Reinstall the left IP end cap as the last step.

Reinstall the steering column trim covers and enable the SIR system.

Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary.

Install the steering column wire harness to the lower steering column wire harness shield, route and connect the electrical connector from the windshield wiper and washer switch, and secure the steering column wiring harness tie straps (1 and 2).

Push on the rear side of the fog lamp, I/P dimmer switch assembly to disconnect the electrical connector.

First, disable the SIR system.

First, disable the SIR system and remove the steering column trim covers.

Remove the steering column trim covers and the steering column wiring harness tie straps (1 and 2).
