How to replace the rear brake line (Jounce) on 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt?

Start work on changing the rear brake hose by first lifting and holding up the vehicle then taking out the wheel and tire. Remove dirt and foreign material from both ends of the brake hose and threaded brake pipe connections. Use a back up wrench to remove the brake pipe connections from the brake hose now disconnecting both fittings but sealing their ends. Move the brake hose retaining clips off the hose splayed brackets and pull the hose away from the brackets. Insert the brake hose into the fitting brackets and ensure the hose ends match the bracket's notch properly. Secure the desired hose retaining clips at the brackets with the fitting alignment in place. After installing the hose fitting at the brake pipe, connect both system pipes with a back up wrench then secure the joints to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.). Refast the tire and wheel parts but watch the hose for connection with suspension components. You need to relocate the hose and resolve issues if this happens. Complete the process by draining the brake fluid then lowering the car.
