Q: How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on a 6L50/6L80/6L90 automatic transmission in an all-wheel-drive on 2007 Cadillac STS?
A: To replace the transmission mount on the 6l50/6l80/6l90 automatic transmission in an all-wheel-drive vehicle, start by raising and supporting the vehicle. Take out the exhaust system and lift up the transmission with a suitable jack in addition to a piece of wood. Remove the six retainers of the transmission vent hose from the mount assembly, then the transmission mount support to body mounting bolts and the transmission mount support to transfer case mounting. The transmission mount support assembly is out of the vehicle. Transmission mount support assembly should be put back into position making sure that the transmission mount bolts are tightened in the right sequence for installation. Hand tighten the transmission mount support to transfer case mounting bolts, set left side bolt-110n.m.(81lb.ft), and right side bolt- 110n.m (81lb.Ft) now, install transmission mount support to body mounting bolts and tighten them to 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Attach the transmission vent hose back to the six retainers on the mount assembly, remove the transmission jack, reattach the exhaust system and lastly, lower the vehicle.
