How to replace the LH Motor and Transmission Mount on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?

To get the left side transmission mount off, you have to first disconnect the negative cable of the battery and furthermore lift up the vehicle first. Take out top and bottom transmission mount bolts, drop the vehicle and remove the underhood electrical center cover. Remove the engine control module harness connector (3, 4) and the positive batteries from the underhood electrical center. Play down the underhood electrical center tray bracket nuts and bolt , then unplug the wiring harness retainer from the tray bracket. Cut and remove the aluminum electrical center and drop it away from the scene. Support the transmission with a hydraulic floor jack using a block of wood between the jack and the transmission, remove the transmission mount to transmission bolts and the transmission mount to mid rail bolts. Gradually lower the transmission so that the transmission mount would be easy to pull out from the vehicle. For installation, begin with route the heater going to trans mount to mid-rail, and hand start the transmission mount to mid-rail bolts, the tightness being 34 n.m (25 lb ft). De-rust or sandblast the bell-housing to the transmission mount surfaces, and apply primer and paint if necessary. Then, raise the transmission until it is in supply with the transmission mount, teetering the transmission mount to transmission bolts do not need prying. Hand start the transmission mount to transmission bolts in the sequence, rear, middle, front, and tighten to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Reposition the underhood electrical center, connect the wiring harness retainer with the tray bracket, and install electrical center nuts and bolts with the nut tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) and the bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Push the positive battery cables to the underhood electrical center and tighten the positive cable nut to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) then associated the engine control module harness connectors (3, 4) and install the under hood electrical center cover. Lift the vehicle yet again and hand tighten the front and rear transmission mount thru bolt and tighten both to 100 n.m (74 lb ft). Lastly, connect the negative Battery Cable.
