To replace the coil spring, first lift and support your vehicle. Take off the tire and wheel; later, hold the
Control Arm with a suitable jack. Remove the air tube from the automatic level control and take out the lower shock absorber bolts. Then, take out the hex nut and unwind the universal steering linkage puller (J24319-B) to spread the adjustment link from the lower Control Arm. Lower the lower Control Arm carefully until it comes to rest on the support assembly. Using a pry bar lift out the bottom
Coil Spring Insulator and get rid of the entire coil spring and insulator. Pull the upper insulator for the coil spring downward. For installation, start by installing the upper Coil Spring Insulator onto body, then install the lower Coil Spring Insulator in the Control Arm. Install the coil spring and make sure that the insulator is representative in the lower Control Arm. Jacking up the lower Control Arm, fit the shock absorber keepers and tighten them to 24 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Next, install the adjustment link to the Control Arm and tighten it using the retaining nut, making sure it is tightened with 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.). Connect the automatic level control air tube back to the shock absorber, reinstall tire and wheel, and lower the vehicle, lastly.
