    Q: How to replace the rear brake line on Cadillac XLR?
    A: Start brake hose replacement by securely lifting the vehicle and placing appropriate support underneath. Take the rear tire and wheel away to sweep any dirt from both brake parts. Put on a rubber seal to the brake pipe opening to block fluid leaks and outer contamination. Securely disconnect the brake hose fitting from the Brake Line with the back up wrench while protecting both elements from bending. Detach the hose bracket retainer before removing both the brake hose and its bracket. Take out the bolt on the caliper inlet and free the brake hose from the device. Discard the two copper gaskets found in the hose. To set up the new copper brake hose gaskets you must bolt them together with brake caliper inlet fitting and brake hose. Tighten the assembly to 45 nm (33 lb ft). Secure the brake hose to the brake caliper and verify that the attached portion does not have any bends or twists before fitting it into the hose bracket. Twist on the brake hose retainer followed by removing the rubber cover from the brake pipe joint. Apply a back up wrench to attach the brake pipe joint to the brake hose and tighten until it reaches 18 nm (13 lb ft). Put back the tire and wheel parts before conducting hydraulic brake system bleeding through normal procedures.
