How to replace the rear brake line on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

Before starting the work you need to lift up your vehicle and put stabilizers under it. Clean fully the brake pipe fitting and brake hose after you remove their sensor wheel at the rear. Place an appropriate rubber seal over the brake pipe fitting to stop brake fluid leakage and keep it safe. Place a back up tool on the hose while you disconnect the brake pipe end by rotating the brake hose fitting. Install both caps to maintain both pipe end conditions. Undo the hose retainer from the brake hose on its bracket and extract the brake hose from the bracket. You need to remove the brake caliper inlet fitting bolt from the caliper to detach the brake hose. Afterward, get rid of the brake hose gaskets made from copper. Thread new copper brake hose gaskets on both brake caliper inlet fitting and brake hose. Install them bolt tight to 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Seal the brake hose properly into the hose bracket and prevent any bending or twisting. Install the retainer at the brake hose's end on the bracket. Twist the exposed brake pipe fitting apart and join it with brake hose using a back up wrench while tightening it to 13 lb ft with no pipe or bracket bending. Put on the tire and wheel pieces before bleaching the brake system hydraulics and lowering the vehicle into position.
