How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Malibu?

First of all, disconnect the Intake Manifold Temperature (IMT) sensor electrical connector. Finally, gently hold the sensor and with the twisting and pulling action, withdraw the IMT sensor from the air intake duct. For installation, snap in the IMT sensor as well as connect the IMT sensor electrical connector.

How to replace the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet S10?

To replace the intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor, unhook the negative cable of the battery. Then crank off the imt sensor at its connector and take it out using a rotating motion by pulling it straightly out. For installation, carefully insert the new imt sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct until it is fully seated, reconnect imt sensor harness connector and lastly reconnect the negative Battery Cable.

How to service and repair the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet SSR?

A replacement of the mass air flow (MAF)/intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor starts by opening the hood to disconnect the electrical connection from the maf/imt sensor. Begin by disconnecting the air cleaner outlet duct before releasing the clamp which holds the maf/imt sensor to the upper air box. Extract the maf/imt sensor from the vehicle with proper care. Start by placing the maf/imt sensor to the upper air box and apply 4 n.m (35 lb in) of torque to the clamp. Reconnect the electrical connector to the maf/imt sensor before you install the air cleaner outlet duct and close the hood.
