    Q:
How to replace the grille emblem on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Heat the loose emblem with the Heat Gun (J 25070) by moving it 152 mm (6 in) from the emblem surface while using circular heat movements until it becomes easily removable from the grille. First separate either the wreath or crest from the grille while avoiding contact with the painted surface. First remove all old emblem adhesive with a plastic flat-bladed tool and then clean the area using 3M(R) P/N 07501 or an equivalent adhesive remover. A ring-free towel should be used to wipe the emblem site after cleaning it with warm soapy water followed by dry-down. To apply the emblem use a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water mixture on a clean lint-free cloth while avoiding contact with the adhesive tape or dirt. Line up pins (1 and 2) from the emblem backing with grille holes then apply firm pressure for 30 seconds to guarantee correct adhesive bonding.
