The process of replacing the rear door Weather Strip starts with opening the rear door followed by the removal of the rear door sill plate and center pillar molding together with the third pillar trim panel. You should start by removing the Weather Strip from the door opening flange. When installing the Weather Strip position it first on the door opening flange then reinstall the third pillar trim panel followed by the center pillar molding before securing the rear door sill plate while replacing the rear door.

Close the midgate and reinstall the rear removable glass panel.

In the same locations: the front of the glass run channel, the top of the window frame flange, and the rear of the glass run channel.

The weatherstrip should be at a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

First, lower the window and remove the outside mirror.

Remove the screws and pull the weatherstrip from the front of the glass run channel, the top of the window frame flange, and the rear of the glass run channel before taking it out of the door.

Press the retainers into place before closing the door.

Open the liftgate and remove the weatherstrip molding from the pinch-weld flange by firmly gripping it and carefully pulling it out and away from the vehicle.

Open the door and pull the roof drip molding from the pinchweld and the windshield molding flange.

First, open both doors and remove the sill plate, hinge pillar trim pillar, and windshield pillar molding.

Open the door and use the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) to remove the weatherstrip from the mounting surface.

Align the paint mark on the weatherstrip to the outer top center of the pinch weld flange, then push the weatherstrip onto the flange starting from the top center of the endgate opening, ensuring it is completely seated around the liftgate opening.

Open the endgate and remove the weatherstrip by pulling it from either side.

Raise the window again.

The weatherstrip should be at a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

Begin by opening the door and removing the sill plate, hinge pillar trim pillar, and windshield pillar molding.

Reinstall the window, the water deflector, and the door trim panel, and finally, inspect the operation of the window.
