    Q:
How to replace the water pump (300) on RPOs LY2/LC9/LY5/LMG on Cadillac Escalade ESV? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start your Water Pump (300) replacement by unscrewing the air cleaner outlet duct first and draining the cooling system on rpos ly2/lc9/ly5/lmg. Unclamp the hose on the radiator vent inlet and extract its corresponding hose piece from near the cooling air bleed pipe. Detach the radiator inlet clamp before pulling off the hose from the Water Pump. Unplug the radiator inlet and vent inlet tubes first before taking off the access Drive Belt. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp near the Water Pump and take off the hose before placing it aside. Disconnect and relocate the radiator surge tank outlet hose clamp before taking out its hose. Put the hose aside. Push the heater inlet hose clamp aside to access and take off the heater inlet hose. Keep the disassembled hose set apart. Take out Water Pump bolts 301 and the Water Pump 300 together with the gaskets 309 while discarding the gaskets. Before installing place the gaskets on new surfaces that must be clean of oil or debris. Install the Water Pump (300) over new gaskets (306) onto the engine block and tighten Water Pump bolts (301) first to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) then to final torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Fitting the heater inlet hose back with its clamp precedes installation of the radiator surge tank outlet hose and its clamp . First attach the radiator outlet hose before setting the accessory Drive Belt. Set the fixed and vent hoses in their right positions after connecting the radiator water input hose to the Water Pump and installing a clamp . Join the radiator vent inlet hose to the coolant air bleed pipe hole and tighten the clamp into place. After filling the cooling system replace the air filter housing duct as the last step.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
For 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l engine Water Pump replacement start with draining the cooling system. Then take off the air cleaner assembly, Fan Clutch, and accessory Drive Belt. Adjust the inlet hose clamp in position before removing the hose. Then modify the outlet hose clamp and take out the outlet hose. After moving the heater inlet clamp you should disconnect the heater inlet hose. Unbolt the Water Pump and take out the components including both gaskets. Throw away the old gaskets. Before adding new gaskets install the Water Pump only when you see a clean gasket area. Start by putting Water Pump bolts in position and turn them to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) initially and later tighten them to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Put back the heater inlet hose by tightening its clamp then set the outlet hose and its clamp before placing the inlet hose and its clamp. Installation ends when you install the accessory Drive Belt, fan blade and clutch parts as well as the air cleaner and top off the cooling system.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on LLV and LLR with 2.9L and 3.7L engines on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to empty your cooling system before starting work on water pumps installed in llv and llr models that run 2.9l or 3.7l engines. Begin by taking away the fan unit and then proceed with the belt. Adjust and secure the j 46406 (Fan Clutch Remover and Installer) on the Water Pump wheel to remove pulley bolts before taking off the pulley and Water Pump bolts to uninstall the Water Pump unit. Discard the gasket at this time. Place the new Water Pump Gasket first and then set the Water Pump onto the engine. Torque the Water Pump bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Use the j 46406 to place the Water Pump Pulley back on while applying its bolts. Tighten the bolts to 25 nm torque setting (18 lb ft) with the tool. Secure the Drive Belt and fan piece once you have taken out the j 41240. Complete the system by adding recommended coolant mix at the proper concentration then check for any fluid leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on LLV/LLR with 2.9L or 3.7L engines on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must empty the cooling system before you start replacing the Water Pump on 2.9l and 3.7l llv/llr engine models. The first step is to take off both the fan and the Drive Belt. To change the Water Pump use j 46406 (Fan Clutch Remover and Installer) to lock down the Water Pump Pulley and remove its bolts before taking off the pulley and Water Pump bolts alongside their gasket when replacing the Water Pump itself. Install a new Water Pump gasket followed by placing the Water Pump on its engine position. Tighten the Water Pump bolts at 10 nm (89 lb in). Secure the Water Pump Pulley with the j 46406 tool and fasten the bolts by tightening them to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Reattach the cooling fan and belt once you put back the j 46406 component. Put required coolant and concentration into the cooling system then check for any fluid leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacement of the Water Pump by removing the air cleaner outlet duct followed by draining the cooling system. Loosen and move the hose clamp away from the bleeding tube on the radiator coolant vent to remove the radiator vent inlet hose. Secondly you should relocate the radiator inlet clamp on top of the Water Pump and detach the radiator inlet hose. Reposition the radiator hoses aside to reveal the Water Pump. Displace the accessory Drive Belt after taking out both inlet lines. Detach the outlet hose from the Water Pump by unscrewing the radiator outlet clamp and replace it once done. Shift the clamp of the outlet hose towards the Water Pump and take off both the surge tank outlet hose and radiator. Put the outlet hose aside. Ease the heater inlet hose clamp from its position next to the Water Pump and extract the heater inlet hose. Detach all Water Pump bolts (301) and take out Water Pump (300) with gaskets (309) for disposal. Test the radiator vent passage before installing the pump to confirm proper airflow and clear the routing as needed. Place the Water Pump (300) into position with fresh gaskets (306) at the engine block, then put in the Water Pump bolts (301). Torque the bolts initially to 15 nm (11 lb ft) and end at 30 nm (22 lb ft). Secure the hose that leads to the heater door and its clamp before connecting the hose from the surge tank to its clamp on the radiator. Put the radiator outlet hose in place at the Water Pump area before installing its clamp. Connect the accessory Drive Belt afterward. Attach the radiator inlet hose in its correct position and then install the Water Pump hose above it along with securing the hose clamp at the Water Pump. Connect the radiator vent inlet hose to its proper place on the coolant air bleed pipe. Secure the hose with a clamp. Complete the cooling system before reconnecting the air cleaner outlet duct.
