How to replace the left engine mount on 2005 Cadillac SRX?

Before replacing the left Engine Mount you must first support the vehicle and install a screw jack with a block of wood underneath the Oil Pan. Use a screw jack to lift the engine until the mount loses all its weight after removing its lower retainer. Starting with removing the retaining nut from the upper Engine Mount allows extraction of the mount from the vehicle. The upper Engine Mount retaining nut should be placed into the vehicle before installing the mount and tightening it to 80 nm (59 lb ft). Lower the engine with the screw jack while the weight rests on the mount before you install the lower retaining nut for the Engine Mount and secure it at 80 nm (59 lb ft). Test the Engine Mount while removing the screw jack and block of wood from under the Oil Pan until the vehicle drops to ground level.
