How to replace the left engine mount bracket on 2005 Cadillac SRX?

First support and lift the vehicle and install a screw jack on top of an Oil Pan support block. Use the screw jack to elevate the engine up after you remove its lower mount retaining nut so the weight falls from the mount. Start by removing both the upper Engine Mount retaining nut before pulling out the Engine Mount from the vehicle. The left Engine Mount bracket retaining bolts require removal while making sure the Engine Mount heat shield stays undamaged before removing the left Engine Mount bracket. Begin the installation by putting in the left Engine Mount bracket and fasten it with retaining bolts which should be tightened to 60 nm (44 lb ft). The vehicle mount must now receive the upper Engine Mount retaining nut which should be torqued to 80 nm (59 lb ft). Lower the engine using the screw jack until it rests on the mount followed by installation and a 80 nm (59 lb ft) torque specification of the Engine Mount lower retaining nut. To complete the installation remove both tools which were supporting the Oil Pan under the vehicle.
