2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the right engine mount on 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: Starting with replacement of the right Engine Mount requires you to disconnect the ground cable from the battery before removing the throttle body air inlet duct. The first step requires users to eliminate the Engine Mount struts and securely elevate the vehicle. Start by removing the right rear Exhaust Manifold three-way catalytic converter pipe after you detach the right front wheel with its tire while also removing the right engine splash shield. You must first use universal engine support to raise the engine after removing the Engine Mount lower nuts. Remove both the Engine Mount bracket from the Oil Pan by detaching the mounting bolts. Afterwards uninstall the Engine Mount and its bracket. Move on to remove the upper nuts of the Engine Mount before you detach the Engine Mount from the Engine Mount bracket. The Engine Mount installation requires you to first attach it to the Engine Mount bracket before tightening the upper nuts to 43 nm (32 ft. Lbs.). You should install the Engine Mount bracket together with the Engine Mount to the Oil Pan before securing the bolts at 58 nm (43 foot pounds). After lowering the engine and vehicle position you should raise them to tighten the Engine Mount lower nuts at 43 nm (32 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the right engine splash shield followed by the right front wheel along with its tire then join the three-way catalytic converter pipe to the right rear Exhaust Manifold. To complete the procedure lower the vehicle while you uninstall the engine support fixture and install Engine Mount struts before attaching the throttle body air inlet duct and restoring the ground cable attachment.
