Chevrolet Cobalt Wheel Hub Bolt Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Wheel Hub Bolt in a 5-stud pattern on Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: Start replacing the Wheel Hub Bolt in a 5-stud pattern by supporting the raised vehicle. Detach the wheel and tire before taking out the brake caliper and bracket together as a unit. You should then remove the brake rotor. Turn the bearing keep to create space between your new bolt and steering knuckle parts. Unscrew the Wheel Hub Bolt from its bearing hub position using the ball joint remover tool j 43631 and remove it. Place the new bolt with hardware through the bearing/hub assembly keeping the fitment stationary until it enters the hub. Turn the Wheel Hub Bolt into place with the flat surface touching washer stacks until its end rests firmly against the flange. Place the brake rotor and the brake caliper unit back in place after cleaning their wheel nut and washers. Put the new tire and wheel combination on the vehicle and let it down to its normal height.
