    Start by taking off the engine sight covers (2, 3) then disconnect the electrical connector which controls Fuel Injectors and electrical connectors which control the Throttle Body. Begin by cutting power to the fuel injectors then detach the Brake Booster vacuum hose followed by removing power from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector. Start by removing the MAP Sensor (714) with its grommet (715) when necessary and follow up with the evaporative emission (EVAP) clip (740) and bolt (742) and bracket (741) and valve (730) and tubes (729, 735). Start by removing Intake Manifold bolts (512) and Fuel Rail stop bracket (712) before removing the Intake Manifold (500) along with discarding existing Intake Manifold gaskets (514). New Intake Manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets (514) should be used when installing the Intake Manifold (500). Apply threadlocker to the first 5 mm (0.20 in) of Intake Manifold bolt (512) threads before bolt (512) installation with stop bracket (712) and final bolt tightening order to 5 n.m (44 lb in) and 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install the MAP Sensor (714) together with grommet (715) after applying clean engine oil to the grommet. First tighten the evap valve bolt (742) to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) then install the evap tubes (729, 735) and Fuel Rail. The MAP Sensor electrical connector should be connected while the Brake Booster receives its vacuum hose installation and the Throttle Body electrical connectors need realignment and the fuel injectors require their electrical connector to be reconnected. Finish cooling system refilling then install engine sight covers 2 and 3.

    A:
    In servicing the Intake Manifold, you have to start with lifting your vehicle up and thereafter almost securing it. Drain the coolant system and then lower the vehicle. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensors connectors from the air intake duct and Throttle Body and mass air flow (MAF) sensors connectors on the same locations as well. Remove the air intake duct and the air cleaner assembly, then the Fuel Rail covers. Release the fuel system pressure using the fuel pressure gauge (J 34730-1A), paying particular attention to capping off the fittings and plugging the holes so that the chances of fuel dripping and contamination are eliminated. Remove the fuel line from the Fuel Rail; extract the vacuum ventilation hoses, and pull out the fuel injector wire harness electrical connectors. Also, push off the Throttle Position Sensor connector and the Knock Sensor electrical connector. Accessexceptions:.disconnect all remaining electrical connections from Intake Manifold, then remove the Knock Sensor jumper pigtail from Fuel Rail stop bracket. Take off the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve pipe from the left and right-hand valve rocker arm cover plus the pcv tube from the Throttle Body and the right-hand valve rocker arm cover. The Throttle Body heater outlet hose of the engine coolant air bleed hose should be removed from the Throttle Body and then the Intake Manifold would be removed. For removal, return the removal in reverse order including Intake Manifold, throttle body heater outlet hose, engine coolant air bleed hose, and pcv tube. Secure the pcv valve pipe to the right hand valve rocker arm cover, making sure to install the pcv pipe strap nut and tighten the strap nut in 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Connect the Knock Sensor jumper wire pigtail back to the Fuel Rail stop bracket , the Knock Sensor electrical connector , and the fuel injector wire harness connectors. Finally plug Throttle Position Sensor connector, other remaining electrical connections to Intake Manifold, reinstall fuel line to Fuel Rail, fuel rail covers, air intake duct, air cleaner assembly make sure the iat and maf sensor connectors are properly connected.
