First, lift and support the vehicle and remove the tire and wheel assembly to replace the front brake hose. Clean the hose fittings of any dirt, grease or foreign matter before removal from the brake pipe at the frame. Then you need to remove brake hose retaining clip after removing brake hose bolt from frame, then remove brake hose bolt and bracket from upper
Control Arm and
Steering Knuckle. Remove the hex-head bolt and the compression washers on the brake hose side of the caliper and then remove the brake hose, discarding the washers. For installation (be sure to not twist the brake hose over before securing it to the brake hose mounting bolt with new compression washers at the caliper and cinch down to 45 Nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Fasten the brake hose bolt and bracket to the Steering Knuckle and upper Control Arm, tightening both with 9 nm (80 inches lbs.) and the brake hose bolt to the frame, tightening to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Refit the brake hose retaining clip, connect the brake pipe, and tighten the bolt to 25 n.m (18 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, bleed the brake system, reinstall the tire and wheel assembly, and remove the safety stands lower the vehicle.
