How to replace the MAP Sensor on Chevrolet HHR?

Starting the manifold absolute pressure sensor replacement process requires removing the Throttle Body. The evaporative emission (EVAP) purge tube needs disconnecting from the Intake Manifold before moving forward. Disconnect the wiring harness clips from the Fuel Rail then place the harness out of your working area. Next disconnect the electric connector of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and unscrew the MAP Sensor while examining the seal for damage. The MAP Sensor needs replacement when you discover damage to its sealing mechanism. Begin your installation by installing a fresh MAP Sensor seal when needed and afterward place the MAP Sensor and secure its electrical connector. Let the wiring harness rest in place before reattaching its clips on the Fuel Rail then finalize the connection of the evap purge tube to the Intake Manifold. Finally, reinstall the Throttle Body.
