How to remove and install the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Impala?

The ABS Control Module requires a first step where users need to place the ignition switch in the OFF position to avoid equipment damage. Start the process by pushing down the lock tab and taking out the red locking tab from connector lock tab before sliding the connector cover to separate the ABS Control Module harness connector. The assembly requires proper cleaning followed by removal of the four screws connecting ABS Control Module to BPMV. The ABS Control Module and BPMV must be separated with light force which should be applied without tools to maintain the surface of the BPMV and its solenoid valves. The BPMV needs an alcohol-based liquid cleaned surface with a clean microfiber cloth before the ABS Control Module can install through the four screws that need 5 Nm torque. Insert the ABS Control Module harness connector after pushing its lock tab down while sliding the connector cover back to its locked position and then replacing the red locking tab. Perform the A diagnostic system check for ABS when the ignition switch is placed in the RUN position while avoiding engine start-up.
