When you replace
Valve Stem Oil Seals and springs start with tdc
Piston position to avoid valve drop in the cylinder. You should start by removing the
Spark Plug and making it easy to handle while also cleaning the Spark Plug hole. Put the Spark Plug port adapter j 22794 into the Spark Plug port and blow compressed air through it to keep the valves in position. After fitting the valve spring compressor (J 38606) to the valve spring you can compress it while removing valve locks, valve cap, and valve spring. Check the valve spring condition before taking out the Valve Stem Oil Seal. Set the new Valve Stem Oil Seal within the chamber first while installing the valve spring and valve cap after it. Press the valve spring one more time with the valve compressor tool (J 38606) before putting valve locks into position using valve grease for retention. Release the valve spring back into its place after checking that the valve locks position correctly. Once done open the air valve and take out the Spark Plug port adapter part j 22794 before replacing the
Rocker Arm and Spark Plug.
