How to replace the cruise control module on GMC Jimmy?

Follow this procedure to replace the Cruise Control Module: begin by disconnecting the battery negative cable followed by disconnecting both cruise control cable and electrical connector. First remove the 3 nuts securing the Cruise Control Module to the mounting bracket studs then take it and the mounting bracket away from the cowl panel after removing the mounting bracket's 3 screws. When installing the mounting bracket into the cowl panel attach it using three screws before tightening the Cruise Control Module bracket screws to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Fasten the Cruise Control Module into position by using 3 nuts at 9.0 n.m (6.6 lb ft). After testing the system functionality between each step reattach the electrical connector and implement the cruise control cable then reinstall the battery negative cable.

How to replace the cruise control module on GMC Savana 2500?

Initiating replacement of the Cruise Control Module requires lifting and supporting the hood and subsequently removing the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle. Remove the Cruise Control Module's electrical connector and cruise control cable to complete the operation. After removing the two nuts fixing the Cruise Control Module to its bracket users can extract the Cruise Control Module from both the bracket and vehicle. Fasten the Cruise Control Module onto the cruise control bracket in the vehicle by using two nuts and keeping their torque at 5 n.m (44 lb in). The installation process requires you to first tighten the air cleaner assembly before reconnecting the cruise control cable and electrical connector to the Cruise Control Module. Finally, close the hood.

How to replace the cruise control module on GMC Safari?

To uninstall the cruise control module, remove the cruise control cable from the throttle body lever in such a way that the cruise control ribbon does not curl into the module assembly. Next, remove the cruise control cable bead from the end of the ribbon and remove the electrical connector off the cruise module. Then, get the bolts fastening the cruise control module and take out the module itself. For installation, locate the new cruise control module mounting location, install bolts, tightening bolts of 12Nm (106lb in). Remove the connector from cruise module, and attach the cruise control cable bead to the ribbon, and reconnect the cruise control cable to throttle body lever. End your process by carrying out a check funk.
