The replacement of front side door outside handles starts with raising the window fully. Start by removing the door trim panel after which you can remove the door module together with the water deflector. Use the back hole of the inner panel to disconnect both the door latch retain clip from the outside Door Handle rod and the outside lock rod from the door latch while also disconnecting the lock cylinder harness electrical connector from the door harness of the driver door. After removing the outside Door Handle fasteners by accessing through their holes you can detach the handle by pushing on both lower retaining tabs simultaneously then lifting it out with the entire latch rod and lock cylinder still attached. To install the hardware begin by threading the rods into the cutout while rotating the handle until the retaining tabs secure inside the door structure. After connecting the lock cylinder harness electrical connector you should fasten the outside Door Handle fasteners to 7 n.m (62 lb in). Then go through the rear access hole to connect the outside lock rod to the door latch (for the driver door only). The installation of the outside Door Handle rod requires placing it into the retainer clip while closing the clip around the door latch. The last step involves reinstalling the water deflector together with the door module and door trim panel.

Begin by placing the window fully upward before removing the door trim panel to replace front outside Door Handle. To gain access to the outside Door Handle one must pull the rear part of the water deflector from the door panel. Before proceeding start by disconnecting the theft shield retainer and screws from the Door Handle when the vehicle has such equipment installed. Completely separate the lock rod from both door systems by using the retainer opening located at the door latch to disconnect it. Take out the Door Handle with attached handle rod and lock rod by removing its mounting nuts first. You should begin the installation by attaching both handle rod and lock cylinder rod to the outside Door Handle before placing the Door Handle with rods attached into the cutout and rotating it into position. Fasten the outside Door Handle nuts using a torque of 7 nm (62 lb in). The installation requires you to position both rods into the specified clip on the Door Latch Assembly while keeping the clip in a closed state. The Door Handle and lock cylinder need proper operational inspection before fitting any theft shield with its retainer while fastening both theft shield screws using 7 nm (62 lb in) torque. As your final step install both the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.

The first step to replace the front side door outside handle requires the window to be fully raised. First remove both the water deflector and door trim panel from the front side door. Users should disconnect the Power Window Switch to decrease the risk of injuries during operation of the express down feature. Start by detaching the lock cylinder rod from the door latch and following this step by removing the outside Door Handle rod from the door latch retainer clip. To gain access to the outside Door Handle assembly first remove the two fasteners which will allow pulling it away from the door with both latch rod and lock cylinder still attached. To perform installation fit the rods into the cutout before rotating the handle into place and pressing both upward while directing toward the door metal until secure retaining tabs lock into the metal frame. Screw and tighten the outside Door Handle fasteners to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The lock cylinder rod must reattach to the door latch while an outside Door Handle rod must be inserted into the retainer clip on the Door Latch Assembly and its clip must be closed. Testing of Door Handle functionality along with lock cylinder operation should occur before adding the water deflector. To complete the installation you should put on the water deflector then fit the door trim panel.

Reconnect the lock cylinder harness electrical connector.

Disconnect the outside lock rod from the door latch and the lock cylinder harness electrical connector from the door harness.

Remove the door handle from the door handle linkage.

Tighten the outside door handle fasteners to 7 N.m (62 lb in), reconnect the lock cylinder harness electrical connector (for the driver door only), and connect the outside lock rod to the door latch (for the driver door only).

Install the water deflector and the door trim panel.

Remove the door trim panel, followed by the door module and the water deflector.

Ensure the window is fully up.

Inspect the door handle for proper operation.

Install the outside door handle fasteners and tighten them to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

Reconnect the lock cylinder rod to the door latch and insert the outside door handle rod into the retainer clip on the door latch assembly, closing the clip afterward.

Insert the rod through the cutout.

Remove the door handle from the door handle linkage.

First, remove the door trim panel.

Install the theft shield, securing it with the retainer and tightening the two theft shield screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

Inspect the door handle for proper operation.
