    Q:
How to replace the water pump (LNF) (2.0L) on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by lifting and stabilizing your vehicle before the replacement work starts. Unbolt and pull out the right engine shield to access the Water Pump access plate and pump seal before disposing them. Release Water Pump fluid by removing the bottom plug. Twist the Thermostat Housing and radiator outlet pipe free while you slowly pull them from the back part of Water Pump housing. Attach the j 43651 (Water Pump Holding Tool) correctly in position before screwing its bolts into the Water Pump sprocket threads. Position the Water Pump holding tool onto the front cover assembly through its access cover bolts. Take off the Water Pump sprocket bolts from both sides and in between the pump then unscrew the two front bolts and two rear bolts. Extract the pump alone while discarding the rubber seal. Put a brand new o-ring seal on the Water Pump before adding the new component and create an alignment guide using an m 6 m x 6 mm stud. Position the Water Pump against the engine block and tighten it manually by hand at both front and rear bolts. Utilize the Water Pump sprocket bolts to install three inner pieces then take out guide pin and put in final bolt after parts are set in their positions. Secure Water Pump bolts at the front and rear with 25 nm torque and the Water Pump sprocket bolts with 10 nm torque. Install the Water Pump access plate and bolts with new seal while tightening the bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in) force. Replace the j 43651 (Water Pump Holding Tool). Use new o-rings on the radiator outlet and secure the Thermostat Housing while replugging the right engine shield. Install the Water Pump access plate and bolts with a new seal before lowering the vehicle. When refilling the coolant system check for any fluid leaks.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on a 2.2L L61 engine on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
For 2.2l l61 engine Water Pump replacement you need the Water Pump holding tool (J 43651) plus other tools. Start your repair by taking off the Exhaust Manifold when working on automatic transmission vehicles and emptying the cooling system. Lift your car then start by taking off the wheel from the right front side and removing the fender liner. Install the Water Pump holding tool as indicated (J 43651) on the Water Pump sprocket and bolt it to the engine front cover using the access plate. Arrange tools and safety equipment before removing the Water Pump bolts in this exact order: first unfasten the sprocket attachment bolts, then take away the engine block tie, and lastly unfasten the front cover to pump tie. Disconnect the feed pipe from its connection to the Thermostat Housing but do not remove the two bolts holding the Water Pump to the engine block until removing the Water Pump entirely. Thread the Water Pump hub onto the stud to place the new pump over the sprocket before fastening it into position. Tighten the two bolts connecting the Water Pump to the engine block evenly until they reach 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs. Torquerealty. Secure the feed pipe to its place then install both engine front cover bolts. Tighten the assembly to 20 Nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Mount the Water Pump sprocket bolts and eliminate the threaded stud before fitting the final bolt and tightening to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Put back the Water Pump holding tool j43651 then put the access plate against the Timing Cover and fasten the bolts at 10 nm. Complete the process by placing back the front fender liner, right front tire assembly with wheel, and Exhaust Manifold when necessary and refill the cooling system.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump in a car with an automatic transmission on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Replacement begins with Exhaust Manifold removal when the vehicle runs on automatic transmission. Start by emptying the cooling system and then securely raise the vehicle for work. Take out the right front tire first with its wheel. Afterward handle the front fender liner displacemnt. You need to remove the cover that gives access to the Water Pump sprocket on the Timing Cover. Set the Water Pump holding tool part j 43651 to the Water Pump sprocket and position it on the engine front cover through the access plate bolts. Unfasten Water Pump sprocket bolts to extract them and afterwards detach the engines block to Water Pump bolt followed by the engine front cover to Water Pump bolt. Before removing the Water Pump disconnect both its connections: the Water Pump to Thermostat Housing feed pipe and two engine block bolts. Thread the stud through the Water Pump sprocket hub and pump to line them up before installing the Water Pump. Secure the Water Pump against the engine block through the 2 bolts and fasten them to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Install the feed pipe first before bolting on the engine front cover using both bones and tightening them to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Place the last bolt into the Water Pump sprocket before taking off the threaded stud and bolt the sprocket to the Water Pump at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Put the Water Pump holding tool j 43651 aside then clamp the access plate onto the Water Pump sprocket to the Timing Cover and secure it with bolts which need tightening to 10 nm (18 inch lbs.). After that reinstall the front fender liner, right front tire and wheel together with the Exhaust Manifold when needed before adding cooling liquid.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on a 2.2L L61 engine on Chevrolet Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
A 2.2l l61 engine Water Pump replacement requires using the Water Pump holding tool (J 43651) as your essential tool. When handling an automatic transmission vehicle start with the Exhaust Manifold removal before draining the cooling system. First elevate the vehicle, then unscrew the tire and wheel from the right front along with the front fender liner. Insert the Water Pump holding tool (J 43651) onto the Water Pump sprocket. Secure this tool using the access plate bolts into the engine front cover. Separate the Water Pump from its sprocket through bolt removal, then free the engine block and engine front cover respectively from Water Pump hardware. First remove the Water Pump feed socket from the Thermostat Housing before taking out both bolts from the engine block and finally extracting the Water Pump itself. Mount a threaded stud onto the Water Pump sprocket then place the new Water Pump onto it accordingly. Fasten the Water Pump onto the engine block using 2 bolts and tighten them to 20 nm before adding the feed pipe together with engine front cover components while keeping all bolt torques at 20 nm. Secure the Water Pump sprocket with two bolts and take out the threaded stud. Reinsert a bolt to tighten it to 10 nm (89 inch lbs). Place the access plate on the Water Pump sprocket Timing Cover before adding bolts that should tighten to 10 nm (18 inch pounds). Replace the front fender liner and install the right front wheel before putting back the tire and the exhaust if used. Finally, fill the cooling system.

How to replace the water pump on Chevrolet HHR? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before starting the Water Pump replacement process collect the Water Pump holding tool (J 43651) as well as other essential tools. First take off the Thermostat Housing then remove the Water Pump access plate from the front cover and the right-hand fender liner. Release the Water Pump coolant through its Drain Plug at the pump bottom base. Install the Water Pump holding tool j 43651 onto the Water Pump sprocket for safe working conditions while replacing the pump parts. Secure the tool to the front cover assembly by reinstalling the access cover bolts. Loosen the three bolts between the Water Pump sprocket and pump before disengaging the front and rear engine block bolts. Extract the Water Pump from the system in the end.
