    Q:
How to replace the water pump (300) on RPOs LY6/L76/L92 on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
Change the rpo ly6/l76/l92 engine Water Pump 300 by first taking off the air cleaner outlet duct and draining the cooling system. Turn loose the radiator vent inlet clamp at the coolant air bleed pipe fitting before you pull out the radiator vent inlet hose. Press the hose clamp holder on top of the Water Pump before detaching the inlet Radiator Hose. To start the job move the radiator hoses aside from the way and take out the accessory Drive Belt. Unclamp and take the radiator outlet hose off at the Water Pump before repositioning the tube. Attach the hose clamp on the surge tank outlet at the Water Pump location before taking out this Radiator Hose. Position the outlet hose as you remove it. Unclamp the inlet hose from the Water Pump at the heater and carefully disconnect it before putting the hose aside. Take out the Water Pump bolts (301) and the Water Pump (300) unit along with the gaskets (309) and dispose of the gaskets. Install the Water Pump by making sure no oil or foreign substances touch the gasket areas. Set the Water Pump (300) onto the engine block using new gaskets (306) and fasten Water Pump bolts (301) first to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) then to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Place the Water Pump hose back into position at the Water Pump with the clamp. Then connect the radiator surge tank outlet hose and clamp. Set the radiator outlet hose into its position at the Water Pump and put on its clamp before placing the accessory Drive Belt. Spread the radiator hoses right using the Water Pump connections and clamp and mount the radiator inlet tube to the pump. Your last step includes installing the radiator vent inlet hose onto the air bleed pipe fitting and holding it in place with the clamp before filling the cooling system and installing the air cleaner outlet duct.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should drain all cooling system fluid when replacing 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l water pumps. Disconnect the air duct clamps at the base of the Throttle Body and the maf/iat sensor before unplugging the vacuum hose clip and air duct from the radiator and Water Pump. Take away the vision shield if required. Takedown the radiator vent inlet hose assembly from its radiator hose clips and shift the inlet hose clamp to the Water Pump location before extracting the inlet hose. When needed remove the Fan Blade first before taking off the accessory Drive Belt. Shift the outlet hose clamp before taking the hose out and do similar adjustments to the surge tank outlet hose hose clamp before removing the hose. Unclamp the heater inlet hose from its place. After removing the bolts from the Water Pump area you should take out the Water Pump while discarding the gaskets. To install the Water Pump properly apply new gaskets to surfaces that need them and mount them without oil or foreign material. Begin by fitting the Water Pump bolts into place but only apply 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) torque before tightening them to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Position back the heater inlet hose with its clamp while connecting the surge tank outlet hose with its clamp followed by the outlet hose and its clamp and the accessory Drive Belt. Reinstall the Fan Blade and the inlet hose using its clamp when necessary. Rejoin the engine vent hose to radiator connections while placing back the engine viewing part when required. Fit the Throttle Body end of the duct to the Throttle Body stud and secure it with the air cleaner outlet. After fitting the outlet duct hose clip to the radiator inlet position secure the air cleaner outlet duct clamps to 4 nm at both the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor points. Fill the cooling system next.

    Q:
How to replace the water pump on LY6, L76, and L92 engines on GMC Sierra 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin Water Pump (300) replacement on ly6, l76, and l92 engines by taking off the air cleaner outlet duct and draining the cooling system. Reposition and move away the hose clamp where it attaches to the coolant air bleed pipe before removing the radiator vent inlet hose. Then push the radiator inlet hose clamp off from its position on the Water Pump before taking off the inlet hose. Push the radiator hoses aside from the system and take out the accessory Drive Belt. Open the Water Pump and pull away the radiator outlet hose after loosening its hose clamp. Unclamp and disconnect the surge tank outlet hose from the Water Pump position while moving it away. Move the heater inlet hose clamp from its position on the Water Pump before removing the hose and setting it aside. Disconnect the Water Pump bolts (301) and remove the Water Pump assembly (300) with the gaskets (309) before disposal. Mount the Water Pump (300) onto the engine block using fresh gasket seals but first remove oil and foreign debris from all gasket areas. Install the Water Pump assemblies on their designated locations with new gaskets 306. Tighten the pump bolts 301 first to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) then reach the final torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Connect the Water Pump heater inlet hose with its clamp while placing back the radiator surge tank outlet hose with its clamp. After you mount the radiator outlet hose and its clamp at the Water Pump, put on the accessory Drive Belt. Place radiator inlet and vent hoses in their proper position before attaching the hose to the Water Pump and fastening it with a clamp. Secure the radiator vent inlet hose to the coolant outlet fitting then clamp it. Afterward fill the cooling system and put back the air cleaner outlet duct.
