    Q:
How to replace the throttle body assembly and handle the electronic throttle control components on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Throttle Body assembly; on handling the electronic throttle control components, it is advisable that they would be handled with utmost care to avoid ruining the other components that could be found within the Throttle Body which could easily be ruined when they immerse the electronic throttle control parts or even the use of tools to keep the throttle plate open thus ruining the internal wedge thus ruining the system by causing damage in the bridge. First unplug the air cleaner outlet duct and then diminish the engine electrical wiring connector from the electronic throttle control. Next, loosen the Throttle Body nuts (507) and bolts (538) and then remove the Throttle Body (508) and throw away the Throttle Body Gasket (509). For installation, have a fresh Throttle Body Gasket put on the Throttle Body, and the tab facing the notch. Mount the Throttle Body (508) bolts (538) and nuts (507) fastener with 10 nm (89 lb in) torque. Ensure that the engine wiring harness electrical connector seal for electronic throttle control is in good shape and connect the electrical connector. Install the air cleaner outlet duct back then use a scan tool to test the throttle-opening and throttle-closing range. Operate the accelerator pedal making it move freely from closed throttle wot. Make sure that the vehicle is not in reduced engine power mode, ignition is turned on, and the engine is not running prior to starting the engine. Check for coolant leaks and run the throttle learn process.

    Q:
How to replace the throttle body assembly on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the Throttle Body assembly, you need to take out the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. You should then disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe from the throttle control module then disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector that is found to be linked to the Throttle Body control module. Then unbolt the throttle control module bolts and remove the Throttle Body control module with the seal of the Intake Manifold making sure to clean the surface of the gasket. For installation insert a new seal to the Throttle Body control module groove in the Intake Manifold and install the Throttle Body control module to the Intake Manifold. The next step is to install the Throttle Body control module bolts, then torque the actual bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to Throttle Body control module, and evolve the evap canister purge pipe to Throttle Body control module. Lastly, replace back the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct and do the throttle learn procedure.

    Q:
How to replace the throttle body assembly and handle the electronic throttle control components on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
When handling electronic throttle control components during Throttle Body assembly replacement protect them from damage while keeping the throttle plate clear of cleaning solvents and tools since both tasks could harm the internal wedge mechanism. Start by disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the electronic throttle control. Then remove the air cleaner outlet duct. First remove Throttle Body bolts (538) then nuts (507) before pulling out the Throttle Body (508) and discarding the Throttle Body Gasket (509). Before installing the Throttle Body attach a new gasket to the Intake Manifold with its tab positioned against the notch. Fasten the Throttle Body (508) with bolts (538) and nuts (507) using a torque setting of 10 nm (89 lb in). Before reestablishing the connection of the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the electronic throttle control verify that the seal is intact and unharmed. Install the air cleaner outlet duct while using a scan tool to inspect the throttle-open and throttle-close range. Test the accelerator pedal by letting it move from complete throttle closure to wide open throttle position (WOT). Start the engine only when the ignition switch indicates on but the system remains off with no reduced engine power mode enabled. A technician must examine coolant leakage while conducting throttle learn operations.
